Looking for interested trainees to help in Africa

Mr.Andrew Feyi-Waboso is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and resourceful trainees who feel they can make an impact in the African ophthalmology scene.

The project is to, with guidance, oversee a cataract camp in Malawi.  We aim to operate on 100 cataracts in 5 days in early to mid 2020. The camp will be in Zomba, Malawi.

Working with their charity, they hope to raise the money to purchase the implants and cataract surgery consumables, help screen patients and get involved in small incision cataract surgery (SICS). It will be a team effort and there is no pressure to operate yourself but this will afford an opportunity to make an impact in a real way to the burden of cataract blindness in Malawi.

Any interested trainees can contact him informally to discuss further.
